Bruce E. Lindstrom, 67, formerly of East Harwich, MA. Bruce passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 18, 2022. He was both a warrior and survivor. After battling esophageal cancer 6 years ago, as well as other mounting health problems, he never lost his sense of humor nor his smile. Bruce retired in 2020 after 37 years with Robert B. Our Co and moved to Orono, ME. He was born in Holden, MA in 1954 where his love for machinery and construction began. In 1968, Bruce’s family moved to Harwich, MA where they had a large farm, many many chores, but still plenty of time for shenanigans. 1972 saw the family permanently move into their summer home on the Cape. Bruce came into mine and my 4 daughters lives in 1976. We met on a blind date. His dedication and devotion to his family and friends was admirable. We were truly blessed to have had him in our lives for 45 years. Bruce enjoyed many years of camping and fishing on Nauset Beach, as well as time spent at camp in Byron, ME with family and friends. This was time that was always very special to him. He was also a member of the Brewster Sportsman’s Club.
Bruce is survived by his wife Donna and 4 daughters Nanette, and husband Richard Haarman, Christine, and fiancé Tom O’Connell, Patricia, and the late Scott Spencer, and Jennifer, and husband Michael DeMontigny. As well as 14 grandchildren Eric, Ben, Kate, Lucas, Brittany, Wellsley, Ian, Jacob, Kelsey, Caleb, Blake, Kylie, Davina, and Tyler. 2 sisters Diane, and husband Larry Buzzell, and Debra, and husband Michael Healy. And many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Doris and William, brother Dennis, son-in-law Scott, and grandson Xavier. Bruce was a kind and gentle man who had a zest for life. He had a smile for all and probably a joke or 2. Bruce had a way of making friends anywhere he went. He was a friend to many. Remember his as the happy go lucky guy he was.
A celebration of life will be held on May 21, 2022 at the Brewster Sportsman’s & Civic Club located at 280 Tubman Rd, Brewster, MA 02631 from 1:00PM to 5:00PM.
A private celebration of life for the family was held on Feb. 21, 2022 at Brooking-Smith funeral home in Bangor, ME.
